Wherever you fish, you're going to find fishing guides. And wherever you find fishing guides, you're going to find Simms.
Guides need gear that is functional, innovative and can withstand whatever abuse they put it through. What does that mean for someone who's not a professional guide? Anything that's designed to meet the performance needs of guides is gear you can count on. Simms. The choice of professional guides. And anyone else who lives to fish.
Simms is a fishing company. We have enjoyed success by staying true to the original vision of our company by building the highest quality products to keep our customers dry, comfortable and protected from the elements in any fishing conditions. We work with the very best materials suppliers in the world in our commitment to make high performance, technical clothing and outerwear.
We are the only wader manufacturer in the US, and one of three worldwide that is licensed by W.L. Gore & Associates, Inc. to make GORE-TEX® waders. We compete through innovation and quality. Our staff is largely comprised of committed anglers who understand the importance of quality, dependable fishing gear. They use our products all the time, and contribute significantly to our continuous improvement efforts.
Form follows fishing.
If there’s one sure thing in fly fishing, it’s that gear goes through the wringer: Anglers are going farther to explore untouched fisheries as well as pushing off the beaten path closer to home. No matter where they go, man or woman, they need gear that straight-up works: Waders that fit, boots that stick, clothes that keep the weather out or the sun off—in other words, form follows fishing.
Northern British Columbia is one of the most rugged areas in British Columbia, let alone Canada. Before heading out into the back country you should always be adequately prepared.
A few the things we carry to help people stay safe are Life Jackets, Flares, Rope, Ocean Charts, Leathermans and other knives. We recommend all inexperienced recreational outdoors people learn to use and to carry a GPS.
There are a great many websites that can help a person prepare for the rugged nature of Northern British Columbia… one really good website we like is http://www.bcadventure.com/adventure/wilderness/survival/
